Templates allow you to set up a custom message that will be sent once a purchase is made. Templates can be made to send both through email and, if available, through an integrations message center. To adjust Templates, you'll need to:
- Press Settings in the left menu
- Press Templates
- Selecting Add New will allow you to begin updating your message templates, these templates can be assigned to each product or listing.
- Note, eBay message system does not support HTML, so be sure to turn off HTML text editor for templates used on eBay message center
-
Status: allow you to activate and disable the template
-
Name: Identifier for vendor usage to know or tag the template
-
Subject: The subject message sent to the guest when the email is distributed
-
Body: The body of the message sent to the guest when an email is distributed
- Below the template you'll see many custom variables you can include in the message, these will automatically pull all order details and insert them into that message
- We're now ready to create an email, I'll create a basic template I can assign to my products or listings.
- It is important you have {{$transaction->access_link}} in the hyperlink (
) where a guest presses to receive the code - without this, the product cannot be accessed by the guest
