Setting up bonus codes allows you to send multiple codes for each order from the same or another database. An example of this would be if:
- you have a code that is a one-month code, however, you are selling a two-month subscription which comprises two one-month codes
- You have a one-month code with a particular instruction manual you need to link to a manual
To do this, go to eBay/Shopify product, for example for eBay go to Auto message
Find the listing that you want to add a bonus code to and press details
Select Bonus Codes at the top
Enable Bonus Codes. You will now have three options:
- Disabled - this turns off bonus codes, meaning no additional codes will be sent with the original database
- Double - this will send one code from your originally assigned database, and one code from the database you selected for bonus codes
- Triple - this will send one code from your originally assigned database, and two codes from the database you selected for bonus codes
- Custom - you can assign the number of codes assigned to an order based on your sending preferences
Once you've determined the number of bonus codes you'd like to send with each other, select the database the bonus codes should be pulled from. This can be the same as the original database you're pulling codes from or another database.
When selecting custom, you have some freedom in creating a bonus code delivery system that works for you. By choosing custom, you'll be prompted with the following pop-up where you can configure your sending options
After selecting the proper database, press Save Changes
How we've seen people use bonus codes:
- Send two months of the product via two one-month codes, pulling from the same database
- Send a manual or instruction guide with an order, assigning a manual or PDF via bonus codes
- Send a combo kit, assigning one random key to an order of a product
